Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is renowned for her performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her movie Piano won her an Oscar. Her career began acting as an actress both on Broadway and Off Broadway. The art of acting has been a constant obsession. In fifth grade, she portrayed Helen Keller in an original play. The actress was deaf in one ear due to the mumps virus, however she did not permit this to deter the determination of her to become an actress. In her teens, Hunter studied drama and then moved to New York City. In a chance encounter she became trapped in an elevator along with the playwright Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart and was Hunter's first performance. Hunter relocated into Los Angeles and tried to get films roles. For Swing Shift, she landed an appearance as a supporting character. Over the past three decades Holly Hunter has been on numerous TV shows and films. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actress as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
